Job Description

System Software Engineer Connectivity Services
Core Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for Development of Software components
- Supports Connectivity Services Design activities
- Ensures completeness, accuracy and testability of Connectivity Services requirements.
- Develops test approach and methods, writes and performs test protocols, and writes reports as requested
- Responsible for establishing unit test capabilities and for maintenance of Connectivity Services software test tools.
- Responsible performing assignments in accordance with Pharmaceutical Vision Surgical standards.
Position Accountability / Scope:
- Works collaboratively with project team members to develop software project plans. Contributes independently to connectivity Services design and release.
Key Project Functions:
- Develop production software code on for use on .NET target environments (Windows & embedded Linux).
- Design and implement control and application algorithms.
- Develop design control documentation including SRS, V&V test protocols and reports, and risk management files
- Engineering and production software release
Minimum Education:
BS in Math, Science or Engineering, or equivalent years of work experience.
Computer Science and/or MS preferred.
Minimum Experience / Training Required:
- 5+ years of software development experience
- At least one product software design cycle experience to production release
- Advanced skills in C# on the .NET framework
- Experience a full product development and release cycle.
- Familiarity with the use of .NET in cross platform scenarios (.net 2.0+ on Windows, Linux)
- Advanced skills in Windows API, DLLs, interfaces
- Advanced skills with Network programming utilizing the .NET, Cryptography and Serialization assemblies
- Experience with networked database
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
-5-8 years of experience with the .NET framework
- 2 years of experience with the .NET 2.0 or 2.1 framework
- Experience in Agile software design methodology
- Familiar with ISO design control process
- Familiarity with Embedded system boards such as Raspberry Pi, Beagle bone or other Linux based embedded system
