The Digital Accessibility Consultant is an exciting opportunity to assist ongoing digital accessibility efforts at Healthcare. Reporting to the Manager of Digital Accessibility Consulting, the Digital Accessibility Consultant will provide organization and support to the Enterprise's efforts to implement Healthcare's digital accessibility policy. The candidate will work with coworkers across segments and various functional areas to ensure first tier compliance activities are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Digital Accessibility Software Administration: Administrate the internal instance of (AMP) our enterprise Accessibility Management Platform Quickly learn new software platforms Monitor mailboxes and incoming accessibility support requests Provide clear communication and issue resolution for project teams interpreting accessibility compliance feedback CONSULTING: Execute processes for enterprise accessibility governance Provide accessibility support for web, mobile, and other digital asset types Perform and/or coordinate basic accessibility audits of prototypes, websites, and mobile apps Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify strategies and implement accessibility solutions Become familiar with digital platforms used at Healthcare such as Adobe Experience Manager and a variety of third party platforms Establish and implement enterprise guidelines, best practices, and standards related to designing and maintaining accessible websites, mobile apps, and online materials TRAINING: Train and mentor associates on using accessibility monitoring software and tools Create and/or modify documentation and job aids for software tools EXPERIENCE: MUST HAVE: 5+ years of professional experience; IT or digital marketing Software administration or extensive hands on experience with enterprise software tools Experience working effectively in highly collaborative, matrix team oriented environments Exceptional organizational and project management skills Effective written and oral communication skills PREFERRED: 2 - 5 years of accessibility compliance experience 3 - 5 years of web/mobile design and/or development experience Knowledge and/or experience with web technologies including HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and Web content management systems Demonstrated ability to contribute to large scale strategic projects Intermediate level experience with accessibility audit and quality assurance tools and processes Intermediate level knowledge of disability law including but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508, and Affordable Care Act Section 1557 Intermediate level knowledge and experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 accessibility standards and guidelines 5-10 years of experience with an assistive technology such as ZoomText, JAWS, Voiceover or NVDA screen reader Health care industry experience EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Information, Technology, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction or related fields
