Shift: 5:30am-5:00pm Mon - Fri
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist III - Float represents the company to patients by drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing in a professional and compassionate manner. This role requires providing coverage across multiple locations and roles, ensuring accurate and timely completion of daily patient service activities, and demonstrating leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Draw blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately from patients, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures.

Provide direct patient contact, explaining procedures to create trust and confidence.

Float between multiple locations and settings such as doctor’s offices, patient service centers (PSC), mobile/home visits, long-term care facilities, or in-office phlebotomy.

Lead daily activities on site when needed; supervise and support Patient Service Representatives (PSRs).

Act as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor to new employees and assist in onboarding new clients.

Serve as a point of contact for staff on-site, providing feedback to group leads or supervisors.

Manage high-complexity or high-volume customer practices requiring advanced phlebotomy skills.

Collaborate across functions including Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT, Billing, and Logistics to resolve complex test orders.

Handle multiple priorities efficiently in a high-volume environment.

Maintain sensitivity to patient confidentiality and accuracy of information.

Exhibit leadership behaviors and focus on process excellence.
Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience:
-
Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
-
At least 3 years of experience in a PSC/IOP (Patient Service Center/In-Office Phlebotomy) environment preferred.
