Location: Los Angeles – (Panorama City & Woodland Hills)
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Shift: 12 hour Nights
Weekly Hours: 36
Travel Pay: $2800 - $3000/week (Blended)
Local: $66/hr. on W2

The Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (SDU RN) provides comprehensive and specialized nursing care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced medical attention—often serving as a transition between the ICU and general medical-surgical units. The SDU RN ensures high-quality, evidence-based care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient conditions; identify and respond promptly to clinical changes.
- Administer medications, manage IV lines, and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR.
- Participate in quality improvement and unit-based initiatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of SDU/PCU/IMCU experience
- Active RN license in the state of California
- BLS/ACLS Certification – American Heart Association (required)
