Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: North Dartmouth, MA
Job Duration: 3+ Months (with possibility of extension)
Shift Timings:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Rotating Saturdays: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, providing essential services to patients seeking routine health checks or critical diagnostic insights. This role involves collecting high-quality blood specimens, ensuring accurate preparation for laboratory testing, and maintaining a professional and compassionate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks accurately and punctually under the supervision of the area supervisor.
- Collect forensic and clinical specimens following established procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional workspace.
- Accurately document and maintain required records.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and promote a positive image of the organization.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information.
- Exhibit leadership behaviors and process excellence.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, and WA).
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience required.
- 1+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Prior customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.
- Proficiency in keyboard/data entry is essential.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and commitment to error-free work.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
