Role Overview:
- Respiratory Therapist is either registered or certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care to provide Cardiopulmonary Services.
- Responsible for following protocols approved by the medical staff and department policies and procedures to provide timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures.
- Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.
- Maintain patient airways and perform ventilator management.
- Perform insertion of arterial lines and assist with intubations.
- Conduct pulmonary function studies.
- Perform cardiac and pulmonary stress tests.
- Analyze and manage blood gases.
Facility Requirements:
- Must have NBRC RRT or CRT certification (must be attached to the submission).
- Must have Ohio Respiratory Therapist license (must be attached to the resume).
- Must have ACLS & BLS certifications through the American Heart Association (must be attached to the submission).
