Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler
Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80919
Duration: 12 Months+ (Possibilities of Extension)
 
Pay Rate: $19/hr. on W2
 
Shift time: 4 days, 6am start but is flexible - 10h per day

As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will perform a wide range of skilled mechanical and electrical assembly operations to support production safety, delivery, cost, and quality goals. This hands-on role involves both large-equipment builds and fine, detailed work using hand tools. You’ll work from detailed assembly drawings, ensure product quality, and maintain a clean, organized workspace according to 5S standards.
This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble electro-mechanical components and systems using assembly drawings, documentation, and procedures.
  • Operate complex test equipment and perform part counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Inspect in-process products for quality assurance and document non-conformances.
  • Apply 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles to maintain a safe, efficient workspace and reduce production bottlenecks.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) and problem-solving activities.
  • Write Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to address production, documentation, or design issues.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Pick and package parts and assist in preparing large instruments for shipment.
  • Work in cleanroom environments when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals.
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of electrical or mechanical assembly experience (industrial or manufacturing environment).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient with hand tools and electronic assembly tools.
    • Familiar with reading and interpreting assembly drawings.
    • Experience with cycle count programs and documentation processes.
    • Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain quality standards.
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Soldering experience (through-hole or surface mount).
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems and precision assembly.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Proven ability to write engineering change requests and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
