Job Title: Interventional Technologist
Location: Tulsa, OK
Duration: 3 Months with possible extension.
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Contract Terms: W2
Job Summary:
Provides advanced procedural and radiologic support to physicians, maintains a clean and stocked work environment, and assists with pre- and post-procedure patient care. Participates in on-call rotations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support physicians in a sterile environment; assist with pre/post-procedure care and scrub on all procedures.
- Collect, assess, and document patient data with the multidisciplinary team.
- Document procedural events in Epic.
- Manage images and troubleshoot radiology equipment.
- Assist with a wide range of non-cardiac procedures (thrombectomies, angioplasty, stents, biopsies, line placements, embolization’s, drainage, IVC filters, etc.).
- Follow Universal Protocol for invasive procedures.
- Monitor moderate sedation and provide comfort measures as needed.
- Verify informed consent and address patient questions.
- Operate specialized equipment under limited supervision.
- Maintain aseptic environment; clean, stock, and verify equipment daily.
- Attend training, support new technologies, and help implement updated protocols.
- Mentor new staff and assist with quality improvement.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 6 months related experience.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills; knowledge of moderate sedation.
- Effective communication and basic computer skills.
- Ability to prioritize, work independently, and function as part of a team.
- Ability to wear lead aprons for extended periods.
Education:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
Certifications:
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist.
- BLS (American Heart Association).
