- Job Title: Medical Assistant (PCP & Float)
- Location: North Hollywood, CA - 91606
- Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 40 hours/week
- Contract: 13 weeks+
- Pay: $20/hr - $25/hr -W2
- Prepare participants and exam rooms for scheduled and unscheduled visits, including check-in/check-out, intake, and documentation of medical history and vital signs
- Assist providers and on-site Specialists during examinations and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely clinical support
- Perform authorized clinical procedures such as dressing changes, suture removal, specimen collection, and COVID testing in accordance with scope of practice and physician direction
- Collect, prepare, and process laboratory specimens; perform routine sterilization and infection control procedures
- Support on-site Specialty Care Providers by preparing participants, confirming current orders, and documenting procedures and care in Athena
- Proactively review Specialist schedules to ensure full utilization of appointments; coordinate schedules and communicate updates to Specialists and care coordinators
- Triage and address unscheduled participant requests for provider visits as directed
- Maintain clinic readiness by stocking, sanitizing, and resetting exam rooms; managing supplies and equipment at all times
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience, preferably with frail or elderly populations
- Must be 18 years or older
- Experience in Home Health or clinical settings
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a 2-year Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES
Required:
- Current Medical Assistant Certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Certification from a Medical Assistant certifying organization approved by the State Medical Board
