Shift: Mon-Fri 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM every other Saturday
Job Description
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization, providing excellent patient care and support. This role involves collecting quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and maintaining accuracy, safety, and confidentiality in all processes. The PSR II ensures a professional, compassionate experience for every patient while demonstrating strong communication, organizational, and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily phlebotomy and specimen processing activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.

Create a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients.

Conduct venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric blood draws with precision and care.

Verify patient identity, demographics, and signatures post-venipuncture to ensure accurate labeling and documentation.

Maintain and update patient records, logs, and required documentation according to company policies.

Provide excellent customer service, fostering trust and confidence while explaining collection procedures.

Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance procedures at all times.

Promote a positive image of the company to patients, clients, and the community.

Travel between multiple patient service centers or in-office locations as needed (floater role).

Uphold confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
Job Requirements

Proven ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric draws.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Commitment to company dress code, safety policies, and performance standards.

Strong judgment and decision-making skills within established guidelines.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (required for floaters).

Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and maintain professionalism under pressure.

Excellent communication and customer service skills; team-oriented and adaptable to change.
Education & Certification
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

Medical training such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic preferred.
Experience
-
1–3 years of direct phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

2 years of experience in a patient service center environment preferred.

Customer service experience in a retail or healthcare environment strongly preferred.

Keyboarding and data entry proficiency required.
Additional Details
-
Floaters travel between assigned locations and must arrive on time daily.

Mileage reimbursement available for travel between worksites.

Candidate must live within 20–25 minutes of the assigned site.

Rate of pay is based on verified years of direct phlebotomy experience.

Reliable personal transportation is required—rideshare or public transit does not qualify.
-
Consistent attendance and punctuality are mandatory; repeated lateness or absenteeism may result in termination.
