Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules for compliance with NERC Reliability Standards.
- Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources efficiently to ensure timely analysis and implementation of compliance activities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities meet the requirements of PRC-028, PRC-029, and PRC-030 standards.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and compliance status.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all compliance activities and reports.
- Training: Provide training and support to team members on NERC standards and compliance procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in compliance management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, with a focus on NERC Reliability Standards and solar energy sites.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of NERC standards, specifically PRC-028, PRC-029, and PRC-030.
- Project Management Skills: Proven ability to plan, schedule, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
PRC-028, Disturbance Monitoring and Reporting Requirements for Inverter-Based Resources
- Manage resources to conduct assessments of site equipment for compliance criteria
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to meet compliance by the due dates approved by FERC and NERC
- Provide documentation of equipment capabilities
- Manage resources to conduct compliance assessments of each applicable solar facility
- Document equipment capabilities and limitations
- Manage resources to develop and conduct modeled simulations of expected facility behavior in reference to PRC-029 requirements
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to meet compliance by the due dates approved by FERC and NERC
- PRC-030, Unexpected Inverter-Based Resource Event Mitigation
- Support Renewables with design and installation of necessary equipment to provide data in support of compliance analysis requirements.
- The NERC Program Manager will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, often coordinating with multiple departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role may require occasional travel to solar sites and industry conferences.
