Surgical Technologist

• 4-day work week: 2 days (8-hour shifts) + 2 days (12-hour shifts)
• 1 Saturday every 5 weeks (12-hour shift)
• Shift timings:
  • 6:50 AM 3:20 PM
  • 6:50 AM 7:20 PM
• Hours per week: 40

Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and surgical team, responsible for handling surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures. Ensures readiness for assigned procedures, anticipates team needs, and supports patient care, transport, and safety. Responds to emergency situations as required.

• Assist in general surgical procedures (scrubbing in)
• Prepare operating room, instruments, and supplies
• Ensure proper functioning of equipment
• Follow safety, infection control, and departmental policies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support patient care, comfort, and privacy
• Assist RN with patient movement (admit/transfer/discharge)
• Manage and restock supplies as needed
• Participate in training, audits, and departmental initiatives
• Train or support new staff when required
• Perform other assigned duties

• Required: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certification: BLS required (or within 1 month of joining)

• Ability to lift/move patients and equipment
• Comfortable in a clinical environment with potential exposure risks
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
