Shifts:
8 & 1/2 hour shifts between 8am to 8:30pm Mon-Fri, 10:30am to 7pm Saturday, 12pm to 6:30pm Sunday
Assignment days and hours will vary each week as needed; to include hours and days above. 40 hours a week with some OT may be available.

As specialists in senior care, Omnicare provides a broad array of pharmacy-related services to long term care facilities and to other customers in the healthcare environment.
As a pharmacist for our Long Term Care Pharmacy you will work in an exciting, dynamic and fast paced environment, ensuring the continuation of pharmacy management's goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy. This pharmacist will provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to the centers. We are looking for someone who has a phenomenal work ethic to provide outstanding service and to ensure that the appropriate drug product reaches the customer both efficiently and safely.
You will:
Ensure accurate entry of orders
Maintain security of the pharmacy
Adhere to required delivery schedules
Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy.
Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders.
Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling.
Preparation and/or supervision of sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required.
Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.
Knowledge of DEA and state law with regards to controlled drug dispensing.
Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation based on the needs of the business.
Follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA.
Other duties as assigned (these vary by location).
This pharmacist will be an integral member of the pharmacy team. Your success will be driven by your ability to lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service. The most successful pharmacists demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to prioritize the workflow.
This is a full-time pharmacist position. Typical shifts are 8 & 1/2 hours with a 30 minute meal break off of the clock. Shifts are scheduled between 8am - 9pm, 7 days per week. This position includes participation in the on-call pool of pharmacists. On-call hours are 8pm-8am, 7 days per week. We are staffed 365 days per year, including all holidays. Holiday rotation is based on the needs of the business.

Experience:
Minimum (Required) Qualifications: (must be met in order to perform the job at the required level)
Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing Proficient in the area of clinical interpretation: drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food interactions and allergies Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills Perform accurately and efficiently when dispensing prescription medications Ability to work flexible hours, which may include evening, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications: (if above and beyond the minimum required)
Knowledgeable about long term care regulations (OBRA, OSHA, state laws and other federal laws) that have an impact upon both pharmacy and Center operations preferred
Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy
