Position Overview:
- The Training & Communications Specialist will support the payroll department through the development of training materials, onboarding programs, and internal communications.
- This role requires strong writing, content creation, technical proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively with Payroll leadership to document and communicate processes effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality training materials, job aids, memos, and internal communications.
- Lead new hire orientation and onboarding activities for the payroll team.
- Partner with Payroll team leads to document workflows, processes, and updates.
- Ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy in all written and visual materials.
- Support process improvement, employee development initiatives, and change management efforts.
Required Skills & Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with WebEx and other collaborative tools.
- Proficiency in content development tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiarity with brand guidelines and visual design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Training, HR, Communications, Education, Graphic Design, or related field).
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience, including 1+ year in a supervisory or leadership role (education, retail, hospitality, HR, healthcare, sales, marketing, customer service).
- Payroll background is a plus but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
- High attention to detail and strong work ethic.
- Independent thinker with a passion for developing others.
