Job Title: Emergency Department (ED) Manager
Location: Blythe, CA
Duration: 13 Weeks (ASAP Start)
Schedule: Day Shift – 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced RN – Emergency Department Manager to oversee operations of a 7-bed rural Emergency Department. This is a working manager role, requiring both clinical and leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality patient care, staff management, and regulatory compliance in a critical access hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and supervision to ED nursing staff (24/7 oversight)
- Oversee clinical operations and patient care delivery
- Ensure patient safety, compliance, and regulatory standards
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Participate as hands-on ED RN when needed
- Lead quality improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Manage department budget and operational efficiency
- Ensure emergency preparedness and response readiness
- Support staff education and development
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications
- Minimum 5 years ED RN experience
- Minimum 3 years leadership/management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
