Lab Assistant
Title: Lab Assistant
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 7 Months (Possible Extension/ Temp to Hire)
Shift: Tue-Sat 2pm-10:30pm
Job Summary:
Support daily lab operations by performing routine tasks accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:

Receive, sort, and prepare specimens for testing

Perform centrifuging, labeling, aliquoting, and specimen storage/retrieval
-
Prepare reagents and media
-
Maintain instruments and equipment
-
Record data (e.g., temperature logs)
-
Handle QA/QC tasks and resolve pending lists
-
Decontaminate work areas and dispose of biohazard materials
-
Follow all PPE and safety protocols
Requirements:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (medical assistant training helpful)

Basic math and science knowledge preferred

Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and maintain accuracy

Professional and respectful communication skills
