Shift: Mon – Fri, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM & Rotational Saturdays, 6:30 AM – 10:30 AM
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist I is the primary point of contact for patients, assisting them during routine health visits and critical health decisions. The Phlebotomist I perform quality blood specimen collection, preparing samples for lab testing while strictly adhering to established protocols. The role involves direct patient interaction, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures clearly and performing phlebotomy safely and accurately. The Phlebotomist I exhibits leadership behaviors and emphasizes process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in handling patient information.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks accurately and timely under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Collect forensic and clinical specimens confidently following established procedures.
- Prepare and process specimens according to quality standards.
- Maintain proper records and documentation.
- Promote organizational commitment and a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Skills and Abilities:
- Deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric specimen collection.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months’ relevant experience required.
