Phlebotomist Floater
Location: Lancaster, OH
Duration: 3–4 Months (Temp to Hire)
Shift: The hours will vary from 6AM-6PM depending on the need. It will be a 40 hour weekly.
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist III – Float represents the face of our client to patients and is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing them for lab testing. You will create a confident, professional, and comfortable experience for patients by explaining procedures clearly and performing collections safely and accurately. The role requires coverage at multiple locations and adapting to multiple roles. You will lead day-to-day site operations (PSC, mobile, LTC, doctor’s offices, etc.), coach and onboard new staff, serve as an on-site point of contact, and collaborate with teams such as Sales, Lab Services, IT, Billing, and Logistics. This position requires managing multiple priorities in a high-volume, patient-facing environment.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification (required)
Work Experience:
- Minimum 5 years phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, capillary)
- At least 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred
- Experience in customer service (retail/service setting)
- Proficiency in keyboard/data entry
