Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: Covington, LA
Job Duration: 2+ Months (with possibility of extension)
Shift Timings: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Pay Range:$18.25/Hr - $23.39hr
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist II / Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of our organization, providing compassionate and professional service to patients undergoing routine or critical health testing. This role involves drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory analysis, and ensuring a safe, accurate, and confidential experience for every patient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment.
- Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established procedures.
- Verify patient demographics and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence.
- Travel to multiple locations as needed, including Patient Service Centers and In-Office Phlebotomy sites.
Job Requirements:
- Proven ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Commitment to company policies, dress code, and safety standards.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Willingness to embrace change and demonstrate business acumen.
Education & Experience:

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, WA). -
Work Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Experience in customer service (retail or service industry) preferred.
- Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry.
Additional Details:
- Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
