Schedule:

Monday Friday: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM 2:00 PM (scheduled as needed)

Holidays: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM (scheduled as needed)

On-call: Rotating as per department requirements

Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Manager serves as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) as defined by the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy. This leadership role reports to the Market Director of Pharmacy and is responsible for daily pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and process improvement. The Pharmacy Manager also performs pharmacist duties including medication dispensing and clinical support, while managing scheduling, workflows, education, and orientation of staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.

Oversee daily pharmacy operations and supervise assigned pharmacy staff.

Manage work assignments, scheduling, and staff workflow efficiency.

Dispense medications and perform clinical pharmacy duties as needed.

Develop and implement processes for regulatory compliance and continuous quality improvement.

Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and sterile compounding standards.

Support staff education, onboarding, and adherence to SOPs.

Serve as the primary liaison with hospital leadership regarding pharmacy operations.

Participate in on-call rotation and weekend/holiday coverage as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent pharmacy managerial experience, preferably in an inpatient hospital setting with knowledge of:
-
Joint Commission standards
-
Sterile compounding requirements
-

Certifications:
-
BLS Certification (must be from the American Heart Association and attached to submission)

Licensure:

Active Indiana Pharmacist license (must be attached to resume)
