Sr. Program Manager: Business Readiness & Business Knowledge Transfer
REMOTE
The Project Manager, Business Readiness & Business Knowledge Transfer, is a business-side program leader accountable for planning, mobilizing, and executing Business Readiness activities across the Foundation Program, with primary ownership of the Business Knowledge Transfer (KT) workstream for business applications that require KT.
This role ensures that operating teams are fully prepared to assume ownership of business processes, applications, and services through structured knowledge transfer, readiness assessments, and adoption planning. In addition, the role provides broader Business Readiness support across the Foundation Program as a Senior****Program Manager accountable for a defined Foundation Business Readiness workstream (including, but not limited to, the Customer Continuity workstream), ensuring uninterrupted operations through transition, cutover, and go-live by driving disciplined tracking, coordination, and enablement of business-owned Knowledge Transfer plans.
The role works closely with IT, vendors, and business leaders while maintaining clear accountability for business preparedness, sustainability, and continuity outcomes.
What You Will Be Doing
Business Knowledge Transfer Leadership (Primary Product)
Lead the Business Readiness aspects of the Business Knowledge Transfer workstream for business applications requiring KT.
Define and execute a structured KT approach aligned to Foundation Program milestones, TSA exit, and Day 1 / postDay 1 readiness expectations.
Mobilize business process owners, SMEs, and operational leaders to actively participate in KT planning and execution.
Coordinate KT activities across vendors, IT, and business teams, ensuring clear ownership and accountability.
Ensure KT artifacts (process documentation, training materials, runbooks, SOPs) are complete, accurate, and usable by receiving teams.
Track KT progress, risks, and gaps; drive mitigation plans to address readiness shortfalls.
Confirm knowledge transfer enables sustainable, independent operations and reduced vendor dependency.
Business Readiness & Adoption Support
Provide overall Business Readiness support across the Foundation Program, ensuring business teams are prepared for cutover, go-live, and steady-state operations.
Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Customer Continuity) to ensure operational continuity, risk mitigation, and preparedness for transition events.
Support readiness assessments, go-live criteria, and decision-making forums with fact-based status and risk reporting.
Identify cross-workstream readiness risks and drive coordinated mitigation plans.
Ensure readiness activities align with broader testing, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization plans.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Act as a bridge between business teams, IT, vendors, and program leadership.
Align KT and readiness activities with program governance, timelines, and release plans.
Support integration across Foundation workstreams to ensure cohesive end-to-end readiness.
Governance, Reporting & Risk Management
Act as the Project Manager for assigned Business Readiness and Business Knowledge Transfer initiatives, accountable for full lifecycle project management from mobilization through stabilization.
Develop and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, dependencies, and critical path in alignment with Foundation Program governance.
Own risk, issue, decision, and dependency management, proactively identifying, assessing, and driving mitigation to closure.
Define, track, and report KPIs and readiness metrics to measure progress, quality, and business preparedness outcomes.
Provide clear, fact-based leadership reporting on status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans to Foundation and executive stakeholders.
Support go / no-go decision-making through objective readiness assessments and data-driven insights.
Escalate risks proactively and drive resolution to protect continuity, adoption, and operational stability.
What You Will Bring
Qualifications & Experience
812+ years of experience in program and project management and knowledge transfer roles within large, complex enterprise environments.
812+ years of experience leading Business Readiness workstreams, including readiness planning, execution, confirmation, and go-live decision support.
Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale ERP and enterprise transformation programs (e.g., SAP, JDE, Oracle, or equivalent ERP platforms), including business preparedness for cutover and stabilization.
Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, operating models, and operational ownership transitions.
Demonstrated ability to mobilize and influence senior business stakeholders, hold cross-functional teams accountable, and drive outcomes without direct authority.
Experience operating in complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous transformation environments, with comfort navigating risk, trade-offs, and executive decision-making.
