Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Onsite - New Port Richey, FL 34654
Duration: 6months W2 contract with high possibility of extension based on performance and business needs
Shift Timing: 7:30AM 4:15PM EST / Monday - Friday
Pay Range: $38 to $42.54 /Hour on W2
Top 3 skills:
- 5+ years quality engineering experience within a regulated manufacturing environment. (i.e. Aerospace or Automotive)
- Experience with APQP core tools. (Experience in both development and maintenance) (APQP = Advanced Product Quality Planning)
- Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and DoE (Design of Experiments)
Job Description:
The Sr Quality Engineer is responsible for interfacing with internal and external customers when quality-related topics arise. This individual will continuously assess quality capabilities for both products and processes. This position is part of the Quality Assurance department and will be an on-site role located in New Port Richey, FL.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Drive internal PPM improvements using iDT&R (Internal Defect Tracking & Resolution)
Drive external PPM improvements using CDT&R (Customer Defect Tracking & Resolution)
Maintain and update value stream quality systems using standard APQP tools.
Lead Quality related Kaizen events for your respective value stream.
Collaborate with manufacturing to reduce scrap for your respective value stream.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field. (Engineering or Technology)
5+ years of quality engineering experience
Experience with APQP core tools. (Experience in both development and maintenance)
Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and DoE (Design of Experiments)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience using Six Sigma tools.
ASQ or Six Sigma certifications.
A regulated manufacturing environment, i.e., Aerospace or Automotive
