Engineering Technician

Job Summary

The Engineering Technician Client Diagnostics supports the Manufacturing Technical Operations in Miami Reagents Manufacturing, Miami, FL. This multidimensional role includes Machine Operation, Process Operations, Product Assembly, and Production Technician functions. The technician will work closely with Engineers and production associates to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve line equipment and processes, driving equipment uptime and completing preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to reduce waste.




Key Responsibilities

  • Follow engineering drawings, work orders, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, SOPs, and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process.

  • Install, modify, move, troubleshoot, repair, and dismantle machinery and equipment per standard procedures, blueprints, or other drawings.

  • Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.

  • Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and controls to ensure compliance with production and process specifications.

  • Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and electrical/electronic systems into sub-assemblies, assemblies, or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, and fixtures.

  • Perform PMs within AMMS system to maintain compliance with production processes.

  • Work safely in Blood Exposure/Biohazard areas following all PPE and OSHA guidelines.




Location & Shift

  • Location: Miami Reagents Manufacturing Miami, FL

  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 9 AM 5 PM

  • On-site role




Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a technical or engineering role, or an AA Degree (Technical/Engineering) with 1+ year of experience.

  • Experience with preventive maintenance (PM) in production environments.

  • Hands-on knowledge of machinery operation, assembly, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting.

  • Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, SOPs, and work orders.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Adherence to safety protocols, especially in biohazardous environments.
