Application Technical Specialist I
Job Title: Application Technical Specialist I
Location: 935 Douglas Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917
Duration: 6+ Months
Shift: Mon-Fri, 8-hour shift
Position Overview
This role supports technology rollout projects through a specialized call center environment. The team assists technicians, vendors, and contractors who are implementing technology solutions at retail store locations. This is not a customer or consumer call center, but a technical support environment focused on assisting field implementation teams.
Key Responsibilities

Handle inbound and outbound calls from technicians, vendors, and contractors implementing technology solutions in stores.

Provide first-level troubleshooting support for hardware and technology implementation issues.

Manage calls received through a queue and ensure timely resolution or escalation as needed.

Update the tracking application/system during and after each call to maintain accurate project records.

Perform system validations related to project implementation activities.

Provide status updates and documentation through email, Excel, and internal systems when not actively handling calls.

Support multiple technology rollout projects simultaneously.
Work Environment & Schedule

Projects may occur across different time zones, including evenings or night shifts, depending on rollout schedules.

Candidates must be flexible with shift timings to accommodate project requirements.

This position involves an 8-hour shift (MondayFriday), with potential schedule adjustments based on project needs.

Training

Paid training will be conducted onsite, 5 days per week.

Training schedules may vary by candidate but will take place between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
