Phlebotomist II
Patient Services Representative II (Phlebotomist)
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. (Central Time)
Duration: 6 Months (Part-Time Contract)
Hours per Week: 25
Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients visiting for routine health testing or diagnostic needs. The PSR II performs high-quality blood collections, ensures accurate specimen labeling and processing, and maintains a professional, trustworthy, and compassionate atmosphere for patients. This role requires strong phlebotomy expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to confidentiality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily specimen collection and processing accurately and efficiently.

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment at all times.

Conduct both forensic and clinical specimen collections following company protocols.

Verify patient identity, demographics, and labeling accuracy; obtain patient initials/signature post-collection.

Accurately document all required information and maintain patient records.

Provide exceptional customer service to patients, clients, and healthcare partners.

Travel to additional Patient Service Centers or in-office phlebotomy sites as needed.

Comply with company policies, safety procedures, and professional dress standards.
Qualifications
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
-
Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)
-
Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in CA, NV, WA)
Experience:
-
1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections (required)

2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment (preferred)

Customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or related fields (preferred)

Basic keyboarding and data entry proficiency (required)
