Phlebotomist II

Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. (Central Time)
Duration: 6 Months (Part-Time Contract)
Hours per Week: 25

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients visiting for routine health testing or diagnostic needs. The PSR II performs high-quality blood collections, ensures accurate specimen labeling and processing, and maintains a professional, trustworthy, and compassionate atmosphere for patients. This role requires strong phlebotomy expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to confidentiality and compliance standards.

• Perform daily specimen collection and processing accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment at all times.

• Conduct both forensic and clinical specimen collections following company protocols.

• Verify patient identity, demographics, and labeling accuracy; obtain patient initials/signature post-collection.

• Accurately document all required information and maintain patient records.

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, clients, and healthcare partners.

• Travel to additional Patient Service Centers or in-office phlebotomy sites as needed.

• Comply with company policies, safety procedures, and professional dress standards.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)

• Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in CA, NV, WA)

Experience:

• 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections (required)

• 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment (preferred)

• Customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or related fields (preferred)

• Basic keyboarding and data entry proficiency (required)
