Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist II
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible Extension)

Position Level: Intermediate
Supervision: General to limited; capable of independent clinical and non-clinical assignments
 
General Description:
This position delivers specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients, supporting medical staff in diagnosis, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions. The role requires independent judgment, technical expertise, and patient-centered care across multiple settings including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, and remote clinics.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Maintain competencies required of Level I technologists while performing intermediate-level duties.
  • Provide safe, efficient, and cost-effective patient care under routine or emergent conditions.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with ordered procedures.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
  • Operate specialized imaging equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, or surgical procedures following established protocols.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews, document findings, and ensure technical quality aligns with department and accreditation standards.
  • Transfer images/data to archival systems and enter technical data for physician reporting.
  • Perform operator-level quality control, cleaning, disinfecting, and user maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research to maintain skills and improve patient care.
  • Provide mentorship and instruction to less experienced staff; prepare and present in-service training.
  • Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives as assigned.
 
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular/radiologic technology principles, medical imaging, terminology, positioning, and medical ethics.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently follow instructions.
  • Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs; maintain professionalism and compassion.
  • Maintain accurate records, handle confidential information, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Multi-tasking ability, remain calm under stress, and pay attention to detail.
  • Core to intermediate-level understanding of anatomy, physiology, and technology associated with the specialty.
  • Skill in applying intermediate-level theory and techniques to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data with limited supervision.
 
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technologist in the relevant specialty.
