Job Title: Phlebotomist III - Floater
Location: Atlanta GA 30342
Duration: 4 Months +
Shift/Time Zone: Monday-Friday 8:00Am-5:00m
Position Overview:
The Patient Services Representative III – Floater (PSR III) serves as the face of our organization, providing essential services to patients across various locations. This role involves direct patient interaction and requires a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and compassion. The PSR III is responsible for collecting quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures. As a floater, this individual must have reliable transportation and be flexible with scheduling and work locations.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform accurate and safe blood specimen collection, including venipuncture and capillary draws, from pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Prepare specimens for lab testing following standardized protocols and procedures.

Verify patient identity, demographics, and label specimens in the presence of the patient.

Ensure proper documentation and maintain required records.

Foster a positive, professional, and compassionate environment to ensure patient comfort and trust.

Explain procedures clearly to patients and answer any questions.

Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient information at all times.

Provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Represent the organization professionally with patients, staff, and the general public.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and uphold company policies, safety standards, and dress code.

Travel between multiple locations as assigned and be adaptable to changing schedules, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call coverage.

Submit mileage for expense reimbursement as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Medical training (Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred.
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

At least 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center setting preferred.

Prior experience in a customer service or retail/service environment preferred.

Keyboard and data entry experience required.

Additional Requirements:

Must have reliable personal transportation (rideshare, Uber, or public transportation does not qualify).

Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required.

Ability to commute within a 20–25 minute radius of assigned locations.

Must list home city and commute time on resume.

Must be punctual and dependable—excessive tardiness or absenteeism will result in termination.

Must be willing to travel to training locations as needed based on trainer availability.
