Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Houston and Austin, TX
Duration: 3 Months + Contract with possible extension.


Work Schedule: 8*5 – 40 hours

Job Summary:

• The Pharmacy Technician supports the pharmacist with medication preparation, repackaging, compounding, filling, and delivery.
• Responsibilities include tasks related to dispensing and ensuring accuracy for patients of all ages (0–adult).
• The role also involves assisting with procurement, record keeping, storage, and distribution of controlled substances.

• Enter patient diagnosis, weight, allergies, and BSA into the system to support accurate dosing.
• Follow sterile compounding standards, aseptic technique, and infection-control procedures; complete annual recertification with a 90%+ score.
• Ensure all prepared medications are accurate as verified by a pharmacist; maintain a record free of dispensing errors.
• Demonstrate competence with batch, medication, and prescription order entry.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy Support Services to maintain adequate medication/supply stock and follow proper replacement and non-formulary procedures.
• Obtain pharmacist checks and label medications with correct dilution and expiration details per department standards.

• 2 years of hospital experience.
• Pharmacy tech license
