Phlebotomist II
Duration: 3 months
Location: Fort Smith AR
Shift: 7:30am - 4pm M-Thu, Fri - 7:30am - 12pm
Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is a key front-line role that represents our organization to patients visiting for routine health screenings or critical diagnostic testing. This position is responsible for skillfully and safely collecting blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and delivering superior patient care and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily operations under the direction of the area supervisor with accuracy and timeliness.

Collect forensic and clinical specimens following established procedures, with a strong focus on safety and accuracy.

Verify patient identification and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm accurate labeling.

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
-
Manage required records and documentation.

Promote a positive image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the general public.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and uphold process excellence and confidentiality standards.
Job Requirements:

Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Strong independent work ethic with minimal on-site supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Must be flexible and available for scheduling needs, including:

Holidays

On-call shifts

Overtime

Willingness and ability to travel and work at multiple locations with short notice.

Adherence to all company policies, including dress code, health and safety guidelines, and guiding principles.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Proven customer service skills and ability to maintain professional communication with patients, peers, and supervisors.

Ability to embrace change and maintain transparency in communication.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
Education & Certifications:
-
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Preferred:
-
Medical assistant or paramedic training.
-
Phlebotomy certification (Required in CA, NV, and WA).

Experience:
-
Required:
-
Minimum of 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Preferred:
-
2+ years in a Patient Service Center (PSC) environment.
-
Customer service experience in retail or service industries.
-
Keyboard/data entry experience.

Training locations will vary based on trainer availability.

This role may be assigned to a doctor’s office, Patient Service Center, or other settings as dictated by business needs.
