Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Liberty Township, OH
Duration: 3+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients during routine visits or critical health evaluations. This role involves collecting high-quality blood specimens, ensuring proper preparation for lab testing, and maintaining a professional and compassionate environment. The PSR I must demonstrate strong leadership behaviors, uphold confidentiality standards, and deliver accurate, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks accurately and on schedule under supervisor direction.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established protocols.
- Accurately document and maintain required records.
- Build trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA)
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required)
- 1+ years of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
- Customer service experience in retail or service environments (Preferred)
- Proficient in keyboarding and data entry
Skills:
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
- Commitment to quality and error-free work in a fast-paced setting
