- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
Top Skills:
- Minimum 2 years MRI experience
- Cardiac imaging experience preferred
- Experience with Siemens (Cemens) scanners
Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of a Radiologist, the MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients for diagnosis of disease or injury, adhering to established protocols and quality standards.
Essential Functions:
- Perform high-quality MRI exams according to protocols efficiently and timely.
- Communicate with patients using AIDET to ensure patient comfort and correct procedure execution.
- Prepare patient and equipment for procedures, including positioning and immobilization.
- Maintain safety protocols, infection control, and sterile techniques as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment and work areas.
- Screen individuals entering the department per safety policies.
- Document all relevant patient information, including history, consent, pregnancy status, and exam details.
- Manage medical imaging records accurately for timely interpretation.
- Serve as a preceptor and provide training to new team members as needed.
- Be available to take call if required.
