Pay rate: $68/hr. on W2

Required Experience: 2 years of recent experience.

Shift: Mon day - Friday 6 am – 1 pm easter time zone

Shift Hours: 12 AM – 8 AM
Contract Type: Local

Job Description:

• The Patient Services Representative represents the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• The PSR draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• The PSR has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skilful, safe, and accurate manner.
• The PSR will demonstrate Leadership Behaviours while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service centre or as business needs dictate.

 
Cloud Department / Floor: Radiology
 
Duties:

• Requires the utilization of appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
• Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment in order to ensure the equipment is calibrated and working properly before any patient study is performed.
• Injects patients with radioactive material as per the physician’s order following the prescribed protocol.
• Observes all department documentation policies by filling in all appropriate logs, manuals, charge documents, as well as reporting equipment problems in order to comply with regulatory agencies.
• Performs quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests. Follow radiation safety guidelines to comply with ALARA principle.
• Maintains, develops, and retrieves patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
• Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses 1-day prior to use.
• Receives radiopharmaceutical on day of delivery and verifies proper receipt as per policy and procedure. Verifies activity level of the dose prior to administration.

 
Education / Requirements:

• Licensing with NYS DOH in Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
• BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of CT experience.
• Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program.
• Required: New York State License (L.R.T), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and current CT certification.

 
Skills:

• Performs CT procedures according to the prescribed protocols in order to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
• Exercises appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient’s needs prior to, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.

 
Schedule Notes:

• Days Per Week: 3.00.
• Hours Per Day: 7.50.
• Hours Per Week: 22.00.
