Job Title: People Operations Coordinator I
Location: San Diego, CA 92130
Duration: 4+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Pay Range: $28.00 – $28.53/hr. on W2
Position Summary:
Supports the People & Performance department through HRIS management, employee onboarding and offboarding, compliance monitoring, personnel records maintenance, and reporting. Acts as a primary contact for general employee HR inquiries.

Position Summary:
Supports the People & Performance department through HRIS management, employee onboarding and offboarding, compliance monitoring, personnel records maintenance, and reporting. Acts as a primary contact for general employee HR inquiries.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the HRIS system (preferably Workday), including employee data input, report generation, and distribution.
- Monitor and troubleshoot HRIS system integrations to ensure accurate and timely data flow.
- Coordinate new hire processes with stakeholders to ensure smooth onboarding; manage accurate and timely notifications for employee status changes.
- Oversee I-9/E-Verify processes, ensuring compliance with current regulations, conducting audits, and sharing best practices.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and other departments to manage employee offboarding, including processing termination paperwork and closing out records.
- Ensure proper storage of documents such as offer letters, job descriptions, and relocation summaries in the HRIS system.
- Support Tuition Reimbursement and relocation benefit programs.
- Assist with annual review and compensation adjustments, including tracking performance reviews and updating HRIS.
- Prepare and distribute wage notifications according to federal and state requirements.
- Maintain required state and federal postings for corporate and New Jersey offices.
- Manage the Job Description files and support training groups with updates.
- Conduct employment verifications and prepare credentialing letters as needed.
- Maintain immigration documentation and assist with work visa filings.
- Perform additional HR-related tasks as assigned.
Education, Experience & Skills:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent with 2+ years of HR experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in pharmaceutical sales HR is a strong plus.
- Proficient with HRIS systems (Workday preferred), including data maintenance and reporting.
- Experienced in I-9 documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Familiar with state and federal employment laws.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong data management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, with a proactive approach to work.
- High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
- Capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
