Phlebotomist II - 1st Shift
Job Title: Phlebotomist II – 1st Shift
Location: Edmond, OK
Duration: 3+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift Timings: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist II / Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients to collect blood specimens for laboratory testing. This role requires exceptional phlebotomy skills, professionalism, and a commitment to patient care and confidentiality. The PSR II ensures accurate specimen collection and labeling while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
- Collect forensic and clinical specimens confidently and safely.
- Verify patient demographics and ensure proper labeling of specimens.
- Maintain documentation and records as per company standards.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
- Travel to multiple locations as needed, sometimes with minimal notice.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, and WA).

Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service settings preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent phlebotomy skills across all age groups.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to error-free work.
- Superior customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and schedules.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
Additional Information:
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Training locations may vary depending on trainer availability.
- Must adhere to company dress code and health & safety guidelines.
