Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist
Location: Goldsboro, NC
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possibilities of Extension)
Shift: Mid shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (5x8s)
Weekend Rotation: Every third weekend (Sat/Sun); includes one 12-hour shift and a half shift during the following week to total 40 hours
Weekly Per diem/stipend: Yes (only for travelers)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of standardized laboratory tests and procedures, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine laboratory tests using standard techniques and equipment.
- Prepare specimens, resolve specimen issues, and perform analytical tests.
- Label and store specimens appropriately.
- Prepare reagents and assist in preparing standard and control materials.
- Monitor reagent levels and assist with inventory management.
- Record and maintain test results, reporting deviations from norms to supervisors or physicians.
- Instruct patients on test preparation requirements (e.g., fasting).
- Answer patient questions regarding procedures.
- Maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Assist in training Clinical Laboratory Science students, Pathology residents, and new employees.
- Participate in departmental projects or operational monitoring as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1 year of experience as Medical Lab Technologist.
Education:
- Associate’s degree in clinical laboratory science, Medical Laboratory Technician, Chemical Science, or Biological Science.
Certifications & Licensure:
- ASCP or MLT (AMT) board certification.
