Location: Weston, FL
Duration: 5 Months
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM & Rotational Saturdays, 6:30 AM – 11:30 AM

The Phlebotomist I is the primary point of contact for patients during routine health visits and important health decisions. The PSR I performs quality blood specimen collection and prepares samples for laboratory testing while strictly adhering to established protocols. The role requires direct patient interaction, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence by clearly explaining procedures and performing phlebotomy safely and accurately. The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, process excellence, and maintains confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information.

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

• Confidently collect both forensic and clinical specimens following established practices and procedures.

• Prepare and process specimens according to quality standards.

• Maintain required records and documentation.

• Promote organizational commitment and a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Skills and Abilities:

• Deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

• Work independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric specimen collection.

• Flexible and available to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• Minimum 6 months relevant experience required.

• 1+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred.

• Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.

• Keyboard/data entry skills required.
