Location: Houma, LA 70363
Assignment Type: 3 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Shifts Available:
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound / Sonography Tech for a 13-week contract in Houma, LA. This role involves abdominal and OB-GYN sonography, independent equipment operation, and assisting radiologists with guided procedures. On-call coverage is required.
Responsibilities:
Requirements:
Education: Completion of a CAHEA-approved training program in diagnostic medical sonography.
Flexibility for on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage.
Certifications (Required):
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent sonography experience.
Location: Houma, LA 70363
Assignment Type: 3 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Shifts Available:
- Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | On-Call Required
- Monday – Friday | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM | On-Call Required
- Travel Package: $2600 – $2700/week blended
- Local Rate: $58 – $62/hr on W2

Responsibilities:
- Verify physician orders and ensure procedure accuracy.
- Operate ultrasound equipment independently per protocol.
- Perform abdominal and OB-GYN ultrasounds and identify pathology.
- Assist radiologists during guided procedures.
- Review images for diagnostic quality prior to submission.
- Educate patients and explain procedures clearly.
- Complete quality control procedures as required.
- Support departmental operations (inventory, scheduling, equipment maintenance).
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and compliance standards.
Requirements:
Education: Completion of a CAHEA-approved training program in diagnostic medical sonography.

Certifications (Required):
- RDMS – Abdominal & OB-GYN
- BLS – American Heart Association
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent sonography experience.
