Manager, Commercial Reporting and Data Operations
Pay rate:
$82


Key Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports to support commercial business needs, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and actionable insights.
Publish reports to Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud; manage scheduled refreshes, monitor data integrity, and ensure ongoing reliability and performance.
Identify and resolve issues related to data sources, report performance, and user access; Provide ongoing support to end users and escalate technical issues as needed.
Create, maintain, and troubleshoot data marts using SQL to support reporting needs.
Administer user and group permissions in Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, ensuring appropriate access controls and compliance with Blueprint Medicines data governance policies.
Partner with commercial stakeholders to gather requirements, iterate on report design, and deliver solutions that meet evolving business needs.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all reports, dashboards, data sources, and processes to support transparency, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing.
Review existing reports for performance, usability, and alignment with business objectives.
Support end users with training, onboarding, and best practices to maximize adoption and impact of commercial reporting tools.

Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud in a commercial or analytics environment.
Proficient in designing, publishing, and optimizing Tableau dashboards and reports.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve data, performance, and access issues.
Proficient in SQL, with experience creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting data marts for reporting purposes.
Experience managing user permissions and security in Tableau Server/Tableau Cloud.
Ability to clearly and thoroughly document processes, data sources, and report logic.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to partner effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry preferred.
Strong attention to detail and data troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with data warehouse processes.
Experience with R or Python for data analysis or automation is a plus.

Capabilities:
Ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements and deliver impactful Tableau-based reporting solutions.
Proven ability to analyse complex, disparate data sources (e.g., Hub/Patient Services, Specialty Pharmacy, Specialty Distributor, 3rd Party Logistics partners, VEEVA CRM, Diagnostic Testing Data) and synthesize insights into clear, actionable information.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
Experience coaching and enabling others on Tableau reporting skills within a self-service analytics environment is a plus.
Experience with Power BI is a plus; Tableau expertise is essential for this role.
