Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: Harrington Park, NJ
Duration: 3-4 months
Pay Rate: $21.80/hr on W2
Work Schedule:

• Monday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Overview:
The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients—whether part of their routine healthcare or for critical diagnostic decisions. This role involves both patient interaction and high-quality specimen collection, requiring technical proficiency, exceptional communication skills, and adherence to safety and confidentiality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws, including pediatric and geriatric collections, with skill and accuracy.
• Prepare and process specimens for lab testing, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and documentation.
• Verify patient demographics and obtain signatures post-collection to confirm sample accuracy.
• Create a positive, professional, and safe environment for patients.
• Provide excellent customer service by building trust and confidently explaining procedures.
• Maintain required documentation, logs, and records in accordance with compliance standards.
• Work collaboratively under the direction of area supervisors and adapt quickly to coverage needs.
• Float to multiple locations (Patient Service Centers, doctors’ offices) as needed, sometimes on short notice.
• Maintain and restock phlebotomy supplies and ensure the cleanliness of the workspace.
• Adhere strictly to company policies (including dress code, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards).

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Work Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• At least 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center (PSC) environment preferred.
