This role involves both patient interaction and high-quality specimen collection, requiring technical proficiency, exceptional communication skills, and adherence to safety and confidentiality standards.

Work Schedule:
- Monday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the company to patients—whether part of their routine healthcare or for critical diagnostic decisions. This role involves both patient interaction and high-quality specimen collection, requiring technical proficiency, exceptional communication skills, and adherence to safety and confidentiality standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws, including pediatric and geriatric collections, with skill and accuracy.
- Prepare and process specimens for lab testing, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and documentation.
- Verify patient demographics and obtain signatures post-collection to confirm sample accuracy.
- Create a positive, professional, and safe environment for patients.
- Provide excellent customer service by building trust and confidently explaining procedures.
- Maintain required documentation, logs, and records in accordance with compliance standards.
- Work collaboratively under the direction of area supervisors and adapt quickly to coverage needs.
- Float to multiple locations (Patient Service Centers, doctors’ offices) as needed, sometimes on short notice.
- Maintain and restock phlebotomy supplies and ensure the cleanliness of the workspace.
- Adhere strictly to company policies (including dress code, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards).
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and cover additional sites as needed.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center (PSC) environment preferred.
