Title: Supply Planner
Location: Port Washington NY - Hybrid - 2-3 days a week
Duration: 2 + month(s) and Possibility of Extension
GENERAL FUNCTION
The Inventory Planner is responsible for contributing to profit and growth of all channels of trade of the Wholesale Division by supporting the planning, purchasing and maintenance of effective inventory levels. The Planner mines data and produces accurate reports, metrics and analysis to maximize return on investment for assigned channel of trade s sales and inventory. Plans purchases and manages inventory to achieve financial objectives (maximizing sales potential, minimizing loss from phase-outs and stock-outs) and works closely with Sales, Logistics, Distribution, Allocation, & Corporate Planning.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Projects inventory based on forecasted sales, planned purchases and other adjustments to provide Sales with data for capital analysis and budgeting
Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly analysis and reports as required
Conducts and provides analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) among level of stock and in-transit quantities
Monitors product flows from sources and provides visibility of future product availability.
Promotes and activates special actions to reduce obsolescence and excess inventory
Monitors fulfillment activities and proactively manages exceptions for inventory shortages and delays, including aging of inventory, which may occur.
Supports the Supply Chain by continuously updating existing reporting to improve overall efficiency of tasks
Identifies issues that impact Operations/Allocation productivity and effectiveness. Identifies solutions
Supports and assists project teams with data collection, analysis and presentation/reporting.
Researches backorder and out of stock issues, works with local and global supply chain teams on solutions
Makes recommendations to maximize profitability and productivity
Able to direct allocation of inventory based upon the most urgent demand source
Able to update Data tables and maintain supply chain Databases
Able to identify root data issues and provide solutions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration in Business, Mathematics, Economics, Supply Chain or related fields
2+ years experience in similar roles
Robust quantitative approach to discussions
Strong analytical and mathematical skills to provide statistics and metrics
Ability to turn data into useful insights with proven examples
Excellent PC skills including MS Office & SAP
Advanced Excel Skill set ability/aptitude to learn/create spreadsheets using advanced formulas (Lookups, IF statements, pivot tables)
Experience working on a legacy/enterprise database system and input and retrieve data from multiple sources and the ability to draw data driven solutions
Database ability/aptitude to access reports, build and manipulate queries
Experience with a planning software
Excellent communication skills and coordination capabilities
Ability to work and make informed decisions in fast paced environments
Ability to learn complex data relationships quickly Agile Mindset
Knowledge of fashion Sales cycles and buying practices
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience of the fashion and accessories industry
Experience with Order Management cycles
SAP AFS1 experience
Business Intelligence ability to create and update reports intelligence reports (SAP Business Objects)
DPM knowledge
