Phlebotomist I

Location: Waterford, CT
Duration: 6+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Pay: $17/Hr - $21/Hr

The Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) serves as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients who visit for routine health checks or critical diagnostic tests. This role involves collecting high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring adherence to established safety and procedural standards. The ideal candidate will create an atmosphere of trust and confidence, demonstrating professionalism and accuracy while explaining procedures and performing collections.

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
• Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established protocols.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintain required records.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, and the public.
• Uphold confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

• Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training (Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, and WA).

• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1+ year preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred.
• Proficiency in keyboard/data entry required.
