Job Description:
Seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Programmer Analyst 4 for the *** team. Will be responsible for providing web-based solutions and support to existing applications. The candidate will also possess skills in requirements gathering, application design, software development, documentation, and customer service.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Application integration as a core function of systems development to include experience and knowledge of designing, developing, and supporting applications using the following technologies:
1. Oracle database (11g and above)
2. PL-SQL
3. Unix Client Scripting
Documenting work to be performed. (i.e. requirements gathering, design/analysis, technical specifications, code, implementation, and support).
Developing and executing database queries to generate reports and aid in data analysis.
Learning different technologies, both currently in use and new.
Working directly with programming staff and users to analyze and develop innovative applications for improving business operations within various City of Richmond departments. This may also involve learning different technologies - both currently in use and new.
Skill
- Experience with Oracle database (11g and above) Required 7 Years
- Experience with PL-SQL Required 7 Years
- Experience with Unix Client Scripting Required 7 Years
- experience in requirements gathering, analysis, design, software evaluation, implementation planning, and testing. Required 5 Years
- experience supporting additional languages such as Java Required 3 Years
- experience supporting additional technologies/methodologies such as Oracle Forms (10g and above), SQL Server, and web services/service oriented archit Required 3 Years
- experience working with a source control solution such as Revision Control System (RCS) or Team Foundation Server. (TFS) Required 3 Years
- experience working with reporting technologies such as Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) etc. Required 3 Years
