Duration: 3+ Months (High potential for extension)

Work Schedule: Rotating – 40 hours one week / 36 hours the next
Shift Hours:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday – 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday – 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
Position Summary:
The Radiology Technologist performs a wide range of imaging procedures, both routine and advanced, while maintaining a patient-first approach. This role involves supporting other technologists, facilitating smooth patient flow, and ensuring quality imaging practices. Technologists are expected to work flexible hours and float between campuses as needed. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting basic equipment issues, participating in quality assurance processes, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging exams as outlined by licensure and competency standards
- Maintain smooth patient flow and ensure timely, efficient service delivery
- Ensure proper archiving and storage of images in PACS; follow downtime procedures as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, coworkers, and leadership to optimize care and workflow
- Escalate equipment issues appropriately to Biomedical or management
- Promote a safe, respectful, and confidential environment for patients
- Provide age-appropriate and culturally competent care
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and organizational regulations and policies
- Assist in training, mentorship, and ongoing education of staff when needed
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and campus assignments
- Participate in continuous improvement, QA programs, and safety initiatives
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent
- 1 year of hospital experience preferred
- Basic computer skills required
- ARRT (R) – Required
- Texas MRT – Required (Licensed by Texas Medical Board)
- BLS – Required (American Heart Association only)
