  • Clean and optimize geometry.
  • Refine textures using Adobe Substance 3D tools following a physically based rendering (PBR) workflow.
  • Ensure materials and assets are visually consistent, photorealistic, and performant for target platforms (high-fidelity archival and optimized for real-time Web, AR, VR).
  • Work closely with 3D scanning operators and archivists.
  • Maintain organized file structures and naming conventions for efficient asset management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working with 3D scanned data and post-processing for production.
  • Proficient in Adobe Substance 3D Painter and other Substance tools.
  • Strong understanding of PBR material workflows and real-time rendering pipelines.
  • Proficient with 3D modeling tools such as Blender.
  • Experience with retopology, UV mapping, and normal baking.
  • Familiarity with real-time rendering engines is a plus.
  • Strong artistic eye and attention to detail, especially for material surface qualities and realism.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in digital art, VFX, or 3D production.
  • Experience with photogrammetry pipelines and automated scan processing tools.
  • Knowledge of color calibration and photographic reference processing is a plus.
  • Passionate about preserving historical records and materials.
