Job Title: Cash Operations Analyst
Location: Charlotte, NC 28202
Duration: 12 months+ (Possible Extension)
Job Summary:
Responsible for receiving and processing bulk currency deposits through automated banknote processing systems.
This role ensures accuracy, authenticity, and compliance with currency handling standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive bulk currency deposits for automated note processing.
- Prepare currency for processing by performing pre-sorting activities, including identifying and removing notes of incorrect denominations within each strap.
- Process currency bundles through the Banknote Processing System (BPS).
- Review and verify any notes rejected by the system due to potential fitness issues or suspected counterfeit status using the Reconciling Station (RS).
- Identify and separate unfit currency for destruction through the Independent Destroy All (IDA) process.
- Detect and document counterfeit currency in accordance with established procedures.
- Record and reconcile individual bank differences, including shortages and overages identified during verification.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to all compliance and security protocols.
