ENTRY Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Entry Level Phlebotomist
Location: Merritt Island, FL
Duration: 2+ Months (with potential for extension)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 1:00 PM EST
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and customer-focused Entry Level Phlebotomist to join our team in Merritt Island, FL. This role is ideal for individuals looking to begin a career in phlebotomy and healthcare services. You will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment while learning essential phlebotomy skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-in using self-service kiosks or handheld tablets.
- Provide exceptional customer service and address patient questions or concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the waiting area.
- Support other phlebotomists during breaks and downtime.
- Train on phlebotomy techniques and assist with specimen collection once skills are acquired.
- Ensure accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrate commitment to organizational values and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and staff.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

Experience:
- 1–2 years of client-facing customer service experience (e.g., retail, home health aide)
- Keyboard/data entry proficiency
- No prior phlebotomy experience required—training will be provided

Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of customer service orientation
- Willingness to learn and perform phlebotomy procedures
- Ability to work reliably and punctually
Additional Details:
- Reliable transportation is mandatory (rideshare/bus services are not considered dependable).
- Candidates must live within a 20–25 minute commute of the worksite.
- Excessive tardiness or absenteeism will result in termination.
- This is a front-of-house role with a clear path to phlebotomy training and responsibilities.
