Duration: 3-4 months of Contract with (temp-to-hire)
Shift: Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
Job Description
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company for patients who visit for routine health needs or critical diagnostic insights. The PSR II is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing them for laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures. This role requires frequent patient interaction, maintaining a professional and trusting environment while clearly explaining procedures and performing venipuncture safely, skillfully, and accurately. The PSR II is expected to demonstrate strong leadership behaviors, uphold confidentiality, and ensure exceptional accuracy in patient information.
Assignments may include working in a physician’s office, a Patient Service Center, or alternative locations based on business needs.
Primary Responsibilities

Perform daily activities accurately, efficiently, and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

Confidently conduct both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures.

Verify patient demographic information, including confirming patient initials/signature after venipuncture to ensure tubes are properly labeled in the patient’s presence.

Maintain all required records, documentation, and logs.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, colleagues, and the public.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collection.

Capable of managing multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate clearly with patients, peers, and supervisors.

Ability to adapt to change quickly and professionally.

Knowledge of business operations and commitment to company policies, dress code, and safety procedures.
Availability & Transportation

Flexible scheduling required, including weekends, holidays, on-call duties, and overtime.

Must have reliable personal transportation with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (rideshare, Uber, bus, etc. are not considered reliable transportation).

Must be available to work scheduled hours, arrive on time, and stay for the full shift. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination.

Travel may be required to cover multiple locations with minimal notice.
Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent — REQUIRED
Work Experience Requirements

1–3 years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
