Job Title: Medical Technologist | Medical Lab Scientist
Location: Lenexa, KS
Duration: 5+ Months (Possibility of Extension/ Temp to Hire)
Shift: Tuesday – Saturday 9am – 5:30pm
 
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist to perform laboratory tests, maintain accurate records, and ensure quality control while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.
 
Responsibilities:

• Process specimens and perform analyses using approved testing procedures.
• Release test results, ensuring compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, and safety protocols.
• Maintain quality control records, document all testing activities, and follow corrective action protocols when necessary.
• Report critical results, assist with customer inquiries, and ensure a clean and organized lab environment.
• Participate in training and safety programs and assist with regulatory inspections as needed.

 
Qualifications:

• Education: BS in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology OR Associates degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• Certifications: Must be eligible for (ASCP, AMT)/ MLT, MLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, QC/QA, and computer systems.

 
Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience (high-complexity testing).
• Must have the ability to establish work priorities and handle several procedures simultaneously.
• Must interact with other departments.
• Contact with clients may be required, good customer service skills are important.

Additional Job Details: Proof of college degree (diploma/transcript) required. Hematology experience preferred.
