Location: Venice, FL
Duration: 5+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift Schedule:

• Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (at F6B – Venice Walmart)
• Sunday: Off

The Phlebotomist I (Patient Services Representative I) serves as the face of the organization, providing high-quality specimen collection services to patients. This role involves direct patient interaction, requiring professionalism, empathy, and technical skill to ensure accurate and safe blood draws. The Phlebotomist I supports laboratory operations by preparing specimens for testing and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.

• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients of all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment in compliance with infection control standards.
• Accurately document patient interactions and specimen data while maintaining confidentiality.
• Provide clear communication and reassurance to patients during procedures.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily operational goals.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and uphold HIPAA regulations.
• Adapt to flexible scheduling needs including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required); medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, WA).
• Experience: Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience required; 1+ year preferred.
• Skills: Strong phlebotomy technique; customer service experience; proficient in keyboard/data entry.

• Must reside within a 20–25 minute commute of the job site.
• Reliable transportation is mandatory (rideshare/bus not accepted).
• Must be punctual, available for full scheduled shifts, and maintain consistent attendance.
• Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination.
