JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned, in a fast-paced environment. Performs and analyzes financial modeling, trends and studies subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, cash flow, investments, and cost a Product budget, variance analysis, forecasting, financial planning and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and/or income statements and/or balance sheet accounts. Prepares reports of findings and trends, compiles and consolidates financial plans and provides insights to management.
Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financial information systems considering such things as information flow, volume, ad hoc reporting, and analysis. Provide analysis by business performance by unit, division or group.
This role is an individual contributor with responsibility in Financial Planning and Analysis for an Operating Unit. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. Role is expected to act as a mentor to colleagues or assist in directing the work of other lower level professionals.
Role needs to operate with some autonomy; recognized expert, managing large projects or processes. Exercises latitude in determining deliverables of assignments, with limited oversight from manager. Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level specialist as needed.
Problems and issues faced may be difficult, moderately complex and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation. Develops solutions to moderately complex problems, and/or makes improvements of processes, systems or products independently to enhance performance of job area. Implements solutions to problems.
Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires a University Degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
